Summary

Orange and blue brocade evening coat with large crysanthemum pattern. Mid-calf length, fastening with one large button and rouleau loop, placed on left of centre at hip. Small black pop-fastener at throat. Collar deep, rolling, to draw up round face, ruched. Long sleeves with deep ruched cuffs. Lined with gold satin, and has internal half belt at front. Gold satin hanging loop, with bow at each end, in back neck. The coat shows signs of wear as the donor wore it herself until the time of donation in 1983.
