Summary

The war council of statesmen and priests are gathered around a large table, spread with books and papers. At one end in an ornate carved chair sits the head of council in pale robes and hat. The council members wear various robes and skull caps, and some turn to face a standing soldier or messenger on the right, wearing an armour breastplate and carrying a rolled up scroll in his hand. A man in a red robe stands behind him, to the rigtht of the picture.
