Summary

Deep crowned hat in coarsely woven natural straw, with wide round flat brim. Inch wide black velvet ribbon band with long streamers and long bow loop at back. Front of band has a spray of harvest flowers - barley, poppies, ox-eye daisies, yellow blossom and cornflowers. Worn by donor's sister, Miss Celine Clancy (b.1946; a student at Trinity College, Dublin) in 1969 for her cousin, David Clancy's wedding. See photo in record file.
