Black felt, broad white cire straw. Toque, to be worn cocked up at the back and tilted slightly forward. Broader from ear to ear then front to back. Around the top is applied a band of white cire straw plait. Hat pin with a large conical head of white cire straw is stuck in the right hand side. Black veil is draped over the front. Inner band of black Petersham. Black elastic to secure back.
