Summary

Public: Deep bowl, bone china, powder blue ground decoration with enamelled flowers and gilt borders. Private: Deep bowl with curved sides and tall slightly tapering footring. Exterior sides covered in speckled 'Powder blue' ground, left white on base within footring, then decorated over blue with elaborate Eastern influenced printed gold border round rim and gold scrolling border round footring. Interior sides beneath rim decorated with deep border of scrolling blue tendrils against printed gold background, interrupted in six places with single Japanese style flower, printed in red and yellow enamels. Beneath this, well covered in powder blue ground, overprinted with elaborate gold border at sides and with ornate circular panel containing flower and leaves in centre.
