Summary
Black japanned wood. Small rectangular box, with a hinged lid, which protrudes slightly over the front of the box. the lid is decorated in the centre with a small raised pattern, roughly lozenge shaped. The edge of the lid has been painted silver. There are three metal hinges. Inside, the box is also japanned. A raised rim around the inside of the lid holds it closed. Inside are eighteen needles.
