Summary

Ring of expanding lattice (like lazy tongs), made of bars of yellow metal. Those bars which face outward are moulded with a scrolling foliate patttern, the lattice is held together with rivets - the centre front rivet having a small decorative boss. The hinged lid is pierced in a lattice and foliate pattern, inside a border of bay-leaves. Yellow metal chain handle suspended from rings. Lattice pierced to suspend chain or fabric purse.
