Conway Quay
Somerset, Richard Gay (VPRCA, ROI) 1848 - 1928
Summary
View along the shore of Conway Quay. Waterfront houses can be seen along the left with a castle turret partly obscured by trees to the far left. Several rowing boats and a larger vessel with two masts and furled sails is beached along the shore in the background to the right. There are shallow pools along the beach in the foreground where the tide has gone out, and three figures stand with a rowing boat to the right, a mother and child watching them from the drier ground to the left, featured against an overcast sky.
