Summary
Mauve silk brocade with rococo scroll motifs in white. Trained tea-gown, front fastening from throat to waist with hooks and eyes, from waist to hem with buttons. Front has false pelerine robings of cream chemical lace. Front plastron is pleated and is long waisted forming a point CF, with a V shaped front tab. Collar high, trimmed with ecru lace, and ruffled with pleated chiffon frill, making a falling ruffle at the back over the collar, which is turned down and finished with a bow underneath. Sleeves are very wide and full, tight below elbow. Lace robing continue over shoulders, forming a wide spreading collar. Lined throughout with heavy cotton backed ivory satin, the fulness of the skirt caught up with a strap across the train inside. India rubber and cotton dress protectors. Boned bodice.
