Summary

Black nylon velvet, black guipure lace. Lined with triacetate. Boat-shaped neck. CB opening with hook and eye above a zip. Lining constructed as dress. LArge flat bow of black satin ribbon on each shoulder. Three quarter sleeves, unlined, each in one section of guipure lace with compound floral motifs, flaring slightly to bottom. Loops for straps fastened with snap on each shoulder. Hem shortened at later date. Label : "Roter Couture / London / Made in England U.K. Regd" and retailer's label: "May James of Knutsford". Original cost 40 gns
