Summary

Blue, green, black and yellow tartan satin. Bodice is separated from skirt, lined with white linen. Wide low neck. CB fastening removed on alteration and replaced with CF fastening with button. Short sleeves edged with blue and green pleated satin ribbon. Separate sleeves for attaching to edge of short sleeves to form long sleeves. Wrist trimmed with pleated ribbon and plaited cord. Skirt flares towards back. Black ribbon waistband fastening to left of front. Hem faced with black muslin edged with black velvet ribbon. Pelerine : Lined with green silk. Covers shoulders and tapers towards waist, front continues below waist in rounded point. Trimmed down CF with tapering bias band and six green thread-covered buttons, edge trimmed with blue, green and black silk braid and fringe. Fastening CB with short opening (later addition?) CF.
