Summary
Light brown watered silk. Bodice lined with white linen. Two boned darts under each bust. High round neck with narrow neckband, fastening down CF with nine detachable white and gold china buttons. Short bone above waist CF. Narrow waistband. Long sleeves trimmed at wrist with bias of silk, silk extending only to elbow. Elbow length oversleeves widening towards elbow with long hanging point at back, trimmed on outside edge with bias band of silk, lined with silk edged pleated white silk ribbon. Flared skirt lined with stiff muslin, hem faced with glazed cotton and edged with wool braid. Belt : Seaprate belt fastening CF under bow. Large ornamental bow at back with shaped ends trimmed with two bias bands of silk, belt edged with satin.
