spoon
Summary
Two spoons known as a "mote skimmer" or "mote spoon". Made of silver with pierced, oval bowl, long stem and point finial. Imperfectly marked. The mote spoon was used to either remove floating tea leaves from cups or for spooning the tea from the caddy into the teapot, as tea contained much dust at this time and required filtering.
