Summary

Coffee can and saucer, bone china, with matt black and white checked covercoat print to cup, and aerograph-sprayed black saucer. Tapering straight-sided tea cup with curved base and tapered footring, ring handle with lower spur and two ribs above at thumb rest. Shallow saucer on tapered footring with wide well, short steep sides and everted rim. Cup printed with sepia vignette of Robert Hyde Greg M.P., within what appears to be a sprayed enamel pale blue ground. Plain white handle, picked out with gilt detail, gilt cup rim. Saucer also decorated with pale blue enamel ground, reserved white in cup well and edged in gilt.
