Summary

Public: An oval box with straight sides, plain brass mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the lid with a central diamond reserve with a group of fruit in a husk pattern border surrounded by coloured panels; the sides are painted with sprays of flowers and husk pattern festoons on a white ground. Private: An oval box with straight sides, plain brass mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the middle of the lid has a diamond shaped reserve, with yellow borders of husk pattern, painted in the centre with a group of fruit and surrounded at the edge with four panels of rose colour and four of blue adorned with dots and stars in white. The sides are painted with two sprays of flowers above festoons of husk pattern in yellow and at each end by small patterns in rose and blue on a white ground.
