snuff box

Summary

An oblong box with splayed sides, ormolu mount and slightly convex hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the lid depicting a bear hunt scene showing dogs and men with sticks attacking a bear. Round the sides are four hunt scenes of stag hunting and a meet of hounds. The bottom is decorated with trellis and dot in raised white on a white ground.
