Summary

Public: An oblong box with slightly concave sides, rounded base, ormolu mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted on the lid with a landscape scene of a lady and gentleman standing beside an urn and pedestal, the sides are painted with four scenes of figures engaged in fishing and playing musical instruments, on the bottom and inside the lid are landscape scenes. Private: An oblong box with slightly concave sides, rounded base, ormolu mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours, probably on a print, on the lid with a landscape scene of a lady and gentleman standing beside a pedestal on which is an urn. Around the sides are four scenes of ladies and gentlemen engaged in fishing and playing musical instruments, down each corner is a scroll pattern in puce. On the bottom of the box is a landscape depicting mountains, a lake and trees. Inside the lid is a landscape scene with a tree in the foreground and a lake with a boat sailing on it.
