Summary

Public: A circular box with concave, fluted sides, plain mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted on the lid with a landscape surrounded by a raised white enamel scroll border on a dark blue ground with white dots, the sides are painted with festoons of ribbon between which are tiny sprays of flowers on a white ground. Private: A circular box with concave, fluted sides, rounded base, plain mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and crudely painted on the lid with a landscape showing buildings on the bank of a river surrounded by a raised white enamel scroll border on a dark blue ground decorated with white dots. The sides are painted with festoons of blue and yellow ribbon between which are tiny sprays of flowers on a white ground. The bottom is painted with a tiny pink flower.
