Summary

A pointed oval shaped box with concave sides and a hinged lid with a mirror inside within a plain brass mount. Enamel on metal and painted on the lid with a roundel with a scene of ships in a bay and the inscription 'A Gift from Scarbro'', bordered by a thin band of gold and one of black with raised dots, on a white ground with raised white enamel dots and a further thin, pointed oval shaped border in red with raised dots. The body of the box is pink.
