Summary

An oval box with straight sides and the top modelled in the form of a King Charles spaniel curled up on a cushion, with a plain mount and a hinged lid/base which has a mirror (cracked) inside. Enamel on metal and painted in colours, the spaniel is painted in white with its ears, tail and patches on its body of orange-brown, the cushion is blue and the sides of the box a pale blue. The lid/base is painted with a spray of blue flowers on a white ground.
