Summary

An oval box with straight sides, a plain metal mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and modelled in high relief and painted in colours on the lid with a bird in naturlistic colours of brown, grey, black and white, underneath which is a small nest, both are surrounded by flowers on a white ground. The body of the box is dark blue.
