Summary

Combined etui and spy glass. A cylindrical case with a long cap with a metal rim sliding on an inner metal sleeve, to each end are metal screw caps fitted with sliding shutters which reveal a spy hole covered in clear glass. Inside the case cut into the top of the inner sleeve are compartments for implements. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with four panels, two on the body which depict port scenes and two on the cap which depict pastoral scenes. All are within gilt scroll borders on a white ground embellished with gilt scrolls and dots.
