Summary

Public: Etui of flattened oval section tapered towards the bottom with a deep hinged lid in a tooled scalloped edged metal mount with chased metal mounts to the top and bottom; no implements inside. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with five classical landscapes within gilt scroll borders on a pink ground decorated with grounds of dots in white. Private: Etui of flattened oval section tapered towards the bottom with a deep hinged lid in a tooled scalloped edged metal mount with chased metal mounts to the top and bottom; no implements inside. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with five classical landscapes; two on the sides of the body one of a man and woman sitting below a pyramidal monument with sheep to one side and on the other side of a man with cattle and sheep before columns and three on the lid depicting sheep, a goat and classical ruins. All panels are within elaborate raised gilt scroll borders on a pink ground decorated with groups of dots in raised white enamel.
