Summary

Public: Etui of flattened oval section tapering towards the bottom with a deep hinged lid within a plain metal mount with plain metal mounts to the top and bottom; fitted inside with four implements. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with five classical landscape panels within slight gilt scroll borders on a pale yellow ground decorated with panels of blue dots and trellis and dot in white. Private: Etui of flattened oval section tapering towards the bottom with a deep hinged lid within a plain metal mount with plain metal mounts to the top and bottom; fitted inside with an ivory memorandum tablet, dividers, a cylindrical container and another implement. Enamelled on metal and painted in colours with five classical landscape panels; two on the body of a peacock standing on a monument with ruins and water in the background and the other side with a peacock walking towards a monument with ruins in the background; with three further panels of classical ruins on the lid. All panels are within slight scroll borders of raised gilt on a pale yellow ground decorated with panels of dots in raised blue enamel enclosed with scroll borders of raised white enamel and trellis and dot in raised white enamel.
