Summary
Globular teapot with short cylindrical neck and three feet in the form of a paw surmounted by a mask. Short tapering octagonal spout and tapering loop handle with flattened splayed lower terminal. Shallow domed metal cover with turned wooden finial, attached to handle by a metal chain. Finely marbled blue, brown and white earthenware body, marbled clays laid strips to give even pattern of brown and blue streaks, colours bleeding into the glaze.
