Summary

Public: In the form of two bells joined at the rims with a hinged chased metal mount with a rope handle, the top half forming the scent bottle which has a metal stopper in the form of a dove and the lower half the bonbonniere. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with two panels of landscapes on the lower half and two panels of flowers on the upper half within gilt scroll borders on a green ground decorated with panels of trellis and dot in white. Private: In the form of two bells joined at the rims with a hinged metal mount chased with scroll patterns and furnished with a rope handle, the top half forming the scent bottle which is furnished with a cap and stopper in the form of a dove connected with a chain and the lower half the bonbonniere. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the bonbonniere with two panels of landscape scenes containg figures, trees, water and sheep and on the scent bottle with two panels of flowers. All panels are within gilt scroll borders on a green ground decorated with panels of trellis and dot in raised white enamel within gilt scroll borders and stars and groups of dots in raised white enamel and gold scrolls.
