snuff box

Summary

A tall cylindrical box with a deep hinged lid within a plain metal mount. Enamelled on metal and painted in colours in raised enamel on the middle of the lid with a dolphin in relief surrounded by a border of alternate cornucopia and leaves in white and around the sides of the lid with four small sprigs of flowers. The sides are painted with a spray of flowers and three sprigs and all are direct on a purple and pink mesh ground.
