Summary

Long, rectangular cradle on two shallow rockers, with square hood and tall footboard (broken across top). Four finials at corners of hood, two at edges of footboard for securing muslin cover, all since broken off. Sides decorated with trailed red slip, showing dark brown on yellow ground through lead glaze, with repeated stylised tulip motifs against a spotted ground, alternating with simple trees along one long side. Decorative borders of broad interlaced lines along edges, hood inscribed 'AW / 1789'.
