Summary

Public: One-handled caudle cup, buff earthenware, with slip-trailed and feathered decoration and dated inscription in dark red and white slips. Private: Globular cup with flat foot and tall flared neck, small loop handle to shoulder. Bowl decorated with dark red horizontal slip-trailed lines, feathered in five vertical bands. Neck inscribed I B 1700 in dark red slip jewelled with white spots, each initial and date within a rectangular panel outlined in dark red jewelled in white. Slip colours show dark brown and yellow through warm lead glaze.
