Summary
Pale pink and white crimped viscose rayon. Crescent shaped neck, turned over at front to show band of gold cloth facing. Shoulder straps. Tie of dress fabric faced with gold attached each side. Bodice back made up of bands of doubled pink net covered with embroidery in gold thread, pink sequins, white bugles and square gold sequins. Dress worn by Phillis Cunnington, May 28th 1934, at Lady Swaythling's dinner party to Princess Helena Victoria before opening of Portman Square Exhibition. Bought at Marshall & Snelgrove price 15gns. Worn with matching shoes.
