Summary

Public: Globular teapot, white salt-glazed stoneware, with crabstock handle and spout, three mask and paw feet, and applied relief decoration of fruiting vines. Private: Globular teapot with short cylindrical neck, crabstock handle and spout and three feet in the form of a paw surmounted by a mask. Body decorated with applied relief twisting and undulating vines embellished with large sprigged leaves, and stamped tendrils and fruit. Stamped human mask sitting on vine to right of handle. Shallow domed cover with bird finial, and sprigged and stamped reliefs of a vine leaf, flowering stem and bunch of grapes. Small hole pierced to side of finial.
