Summary
Teapot in the form of a squirrel seated upright on a small mound, clasping an acorn to its chest between forepaws. Loop handle with spur at lower terminal, S-shaped spout emerging from base of mound between hind paws, spout and handle both decorated with low relief flowering vines. Two-part slip-cast body with low relief decoration of birds perched amongst flowering vines. Two-part slip-cast cover in form of sheep's head, with two holes pierced at tip of nose and hand-rolled scroll to back of neck. Copper chain around neck of cover, connected to handle.
