Summary

Tall rectangular teapot in the form of a three-storied house, on spreading rectangular foot. Each side relief-moulded with three rows of windows and central arched doorway surmounted by fleur-de-lys and lion rampant beneath second arch topped by a winged head. Two figures standing to sides of doorway. Spout and handle sides slightly faceted and decorated with fruiting vines surrounding central empty circle. Angled shoulder in the form of roof tapering to short straight neck, decorated in relief with formalised plants and vases of flowers. S-shaped spout in the form of open-mouthed fish, with naked figure clinging onto its back. Plain loop handle with two broad notches in thumb rest and series of small notches in lower rat's tail terminal. White body with greenish tinge to glaze on handle.
