Summary

Oval sauce boat with waisted fluted sides, scalloped rim, projecting lip and ribbed strap loop handle with pinched and flattened spur at lower terminal. Fine slip-cast body, decorated in relief with human mask in the centre of each side, and birds amongst fruiting grapevines. Sides picked out with scattered daubs of cobalt blue.
