Summary

Thrown oval sauce boat on turned circular footring, with squashed and pinched projecting lip, shaped cut rim and applied reeded strap loop handle with pinched and flattened spur at lower terminal. Each side of body decorated with applied stamped reliefs picked out in cobalt blue, comprising simple flowering plant emerging from base scroll, with one leaf to left, one flower to right, and basket of flowers at the top. More stamped reliefs scattered around body, including single bird to right of handle, fleur-de-lys to left of handle, second fleur-de-lys beneath lip.
