Summary

A street scene with buildings to each side of the street which slopes down to the centre midground from the foreground. There are steps up to the door of a building to the left foreground and a lamp overhanging the pavement from the wall of a house on the left. There is an archway over the street at the centre left and figures at the side of the street to the right midground. Many of the buildings have bay windows overhanging the street at the first floor level.
