Summary

Squat four-sided teapot with rounded corners and wide belly on spreading squared base, tapering to flat ridged shoulder and short straight neck. Short tapering octagonal spout, loop handle moulded in the form of a dolphin with outward turned tail at lower terminal. Slip-cast body decorated in relief with lower border of deep curved fluting, surmounted by wide band of scattered floral sprays with grotesque mask at each corner. Plain white shoulder and neck, squared shallow cover with relief decoration of scrolls and leaves, bird finial and small pierced hole. Heavy greyish-white body.
