Summary
Public: Globular teapot on three paw feet, white salt-glazed stoneware, with applied stamped reliefs and kylin finial to cover, picked out in overglaze enamels and gilt. Public: Globular teapot with short cylindrical neck, tapering spout, loop handle in the form of scaly dolphin with curled tail at lower terminal, and three feet in the form of a paw surmounted by a scallop shell. Body decorated with applied stamped reliefs on either side, of ornate vase topped with floral spray and flanked with two small birds. Spout, handle, feet and stamped reliefs all picked out in gilt, with remains of enamelled floral sprays surrounding reliefs and along spout. Shallow domed circular cover with turned bands around rim, stamped reliefs of heraldic bird and flowerhead, and moulded finial in the form of Chinese kylin picked out in gilt, small hole pierced to one side.
