Summary

Thrown pear-shaped coffee pot on spreading circular footring, tapering to tall cylindrical neck. Tall S-shaped spout with vertical ribbing, strap loop handle with pinched and flattened spur at lower terminal. Flat circular cover with downward sloping rim and central pierced button finial. Body coated with a deep dark cobalt blue slip beneath salt-glaze, revealing white body along spout ribbing, edges of handle, all rims and button finial. Slight traces of gilding remain, around neckrim, beneath handle and beneath spout. Interior, base and underside of cover left white.
