Summary

Oval sauce boat with curved base on three paw feet, each foot surmounted by high relief lion mask. Shaped undulating rim, deep projecting lip and loop handle in the form of a fox, its head resting on boat rim, its tail forming lower terminal. Finely marbled blue, brown and white earthenware body, marbled clays laid in strips giving even irregular pattern of brown and blue streaks, colours bleeding into the glaze.
