Summary

Public: Pear-shaped milk jug with sparrow beak lip and three part scroll handle. Cream coloured earthenware body moulded in relief with diamond-shaped pineapple segments around upper body alternating with long and short spiky leaves around lower body. Lead glaze coloured yellow and green. Private: Pear-shaped milk jug on flared footring, tapering to tall cylindrical neck with sparrow beak lip. Three part scroll loop handle, with wavy spotted borders to top two sections, plain lower section, two spurs along length and outward turned lower terminal. Cream coloured body moulded in relief with diamond-shaped pineapple segments around upper body and sixteen alternating long and short spiky leaves around lower body. Sparrow beak lip moulded with randomly scattered relief spots. Lead glaze coloured yellow on upper body across pineapple segments and lip, green on handle, leaves and foot. Flattened circular cover (not matching) moulded with four-pointed star-shaped pineapple segments beneath deep yellow and green streaky glaze, with green glazed flowerhead finial.
