Summary

Tall globular punch pot on rolled footring, with turned collar to neck, tapering cylindrical cannon spout and plain loop handle. Applied stamped relief decoration on either side, comprising deep scrolling floral festoon hung with central cartouche of gryphon crest, small Chinoiserie vignette above festoon loop, different on each side. To left of handle, Chinaman carrying lute, seated beneath canopy, flanked by flying birds. To right of handle, two Chinese figures standing either side of bubbling cauldron. Flat circular cover, with sprigged ivy reliefs to base of flowerhead finial (broken off) and two stamped scroll reliefs.
