Public: Dinner plate, cream coloured earthenware, with relief-moulded feathered edge to rim, decorated with swirled and mottled brown, green, blue and yellow underglaze oxides bleeding into lead glaze. Private: Circular dinner plate with footring and broad deep well, 6-lobed rim moulded with feathered edge. Cream coloured body sponged with manganese brown oxide bleeding into rich lead-glaze, resulting in mottled dark brown and cream pattern, with daubs of green, blue and yellow scattered around well and on rim. Even mottled brown decoration to underside.
