Summary

Public: Rectangular tea caddy, deep red earthenware, decorated with applied relief fruiting vines beneath a lustrous black lead glaze. Private: Tall rectangular tea caddy with canted corners, flattened sloping shoulder and narrow cylindrical neck. Applied relief decoration over sides and shoulder of fruiting vines emerging from central rosette on each long side. Deep red earthenware body with lustrous iron black glaze, reliefs picked out in gilt, traces of which remain. Replacement circular metal cover, with relief cluster of grapes across the top.
