Summary

Press-moulded figure of a shepherdess in rural dress with checked panel to front of skirt and small brimmed hat, holding flower to her chest in left hand, long staff in right. Separately moulded four-lobed mound base with relief-moulded veining to surface, separately moulded small dog sitting upright to figure's left. Cream coloured earthenware, coloured with underglaze oxides to give blue-grey dress with yellow panel to front, blue-grey hair, hat and dog, and mottled green and blue base, colours all bleeding into lead glaze.
