Summary

Globular teapot on three mask and paw feet, with short straight neck, and crabstock handle and spout, spout tip mounted with pewter collar. Applied stamped relief scrolling floral sprays to either side of body. Cream coloured earthenware body sponged with manganese brown underglaze oxide, bleeding into glaze to give mottled pattern. Shallow domed circular cover with flattened rim, and two applied stamped leaf and fruit reliefs, decorated in mottled brown, small pierced hole to one side. Pewter finial in the form of a leafy rose, attaching cover to handle by chain.
