Summary

Three quarter left side, head and chest portrait of Thomas Dawson, Lord Cremorne (1725-1813), an elderly man wearing an open black coat with bright red lapels and a grey wig. Through his open coat a white shirt is visible with pleated detail down the middle. Thomas Dawson appears to be mid-speech as his mouth is partially open. His cheeks are highly coloured with red pigment. He is looking straight at the viewer. The background is neutral.
