Summary

Public: Circular dinner plate with a deep well and curved rim. Made of cream coloured earthenware and transfer-printed in overglaze in black with a circular medallion containing a rural landscape. Private: Circular dinner plate with deep well, curved rim and no footring. Transfer-printed in overglaze black with circular medallion containing rural landscape, comprising woman and two cows crossing small bridge to left, fisherman on the river bank below, with cottage and trees to right, church in background to left. Border of scrolling leafy stems, paterae and husk festoons, six floral sprigs in five variations to rim. Pale cream coloured earthenware body with fine, slightly greenish, glaze, three groups of three stilt marks to underside.
