Summary

Public: Slop bowl, cream coloured earthenware, painted in red overglaze enamel with a lady taking tea in a rural landscape. Private: Deep cylindrical bowl curving in to narrow footring, with impressed beaded border beneath rim. Exterior sides painted in iron red enamel with vignette of young lady taking tea in a garden, seated at small table to left, flanked on either side by tall three-tiered trees, with two clouds overhead. Small vignette on opposite side of six-barred gate and single three-tiered tree between clumps of foliage, two clouds overhead. Bowl interior painted with repeated gate and tree vignette in well, single scalloped band beneath rim. Pale cream coloured body with fine greenish-yellow glaze.
