Summary
Public: Figure of St Peter kneeling in prayer with cockerel and book at his side beneath tree. White earthenware with a pearlware glaze, painted in pink, green, red, turquoise, blue, brown, grey and yellow overglaze enamels. Private: Figure of St Peter on one knee with hands clasped together, dressed in deep pink robe with blue collar and turquoise cuffs and cape. A cockerel in brown, red and yellow, perches on tree stump to left against which lies an open book. Peter kneels on oval grassy mound in green with relief-moulded flowers in turquoise and pair of crossed keys in grey, beneath tall tree with applied relief bocage in green, red and blue. Finely crazed blue pearlware glaze.
